Acer has confirmed that its servers in Taiwan have also been hacked, after the hackers themselves shared details of the incident with PrivacyAffairs, a privacy watchdog.

The incident comes days after the same attackers, calling themselves Desorden Group, auctioned off data they managed to extract from an aftermarket system in India.

"We recently discovered an isolated attack on our local aftermarket system in India and another attack in Taiwan," confirmed Acer spokesperson Stephen Chang in a statement.

Chang noted that unlike the hack in India, the attacked server in Taiwan did not contain customer information, without giving further details. Desorden Group, however, reported that the server contained product information and employee data, adding that they only captured the latter.
