About two weeks ago it was reported in the Network that the next Redmi Note smartphone will support 120-watt fast charging. Now the head of the Redmi brand has hinted at it.

What's known

Liu Weibing, Redmi CEO and Xiaomi vice president, recalled that fast charging speeds have increased markedly in two years. The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G for the Chinese market has support for 67-watt charging via wire, but as recently as two years ago, 10-watt charging was used in thousands of smartphones.

According to the manager, fair competition is the engine of progress and promotes the rapid adoption of modern technology. Liu Weibing confirmed that the next Redmi Note will get record fast charging. Wang Ten Thomas, Xiaomi's director of new products, said the same.

To be fair, there is one important nuance to note here. None of the Xiaomi or Redmi representatives have explicitly said that the Redmi Note 11 Pro, because apparently we are talking about the older version, will get 120-watt fast charging. Perhaps what is meant is the record-breaking fast charging specifically for the Redmi Note series, i.e. 67 watts. Moreover, this coincides with one of the insiders who recently published the specifications of the upcoming new product.

Either way, light will be shed on this in the near future. According to preliminary information, the Redmi Note 11 family will be announced on one of the days of the 11.11 sale, which starts as early as October 20 in China.
