Huawei has unveiled the European version of the nova 9, which debuted in China last month.

What are the differences?

The novelty is not much different from the version for the Middle Kingdom market. The main thing to note is the absence of the proprietary HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. Huawei nova 9 runs EMUI 12 Android firmware, and the version of the operating system is not specified on the official website. We hope for Android 11. Google services, understandably, no.

The second difference is also due to something missing compared to the Chinese version. This time 256GB of internal memory. The novelty is only offered with 128GB of storage. The amount of RAM is 8GB.

On the positive side, there is a collaboration with the British fintech company Curve. The Huawei nova 9 though it remained without Google services, it has received support for contactless payment. But it's not yet clear in which countries this will work.

European version of the smartphone has retained the Snapdragon 778G processor without 5G support, 6.57" OLED display with refresh rate of 120 Hz, NFC and 4,300 mAh battery with 66-watt charging through the wire. The main camera resolution is 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP, while the front camera is 32 MP. Both support shooting in 4K with a frame rate of 3 FPS.

Prices

The smartphone will go on sale by the end of this month in blue and black colors of the body. The first is called Starry Blue, for the second beautiful name did not come up - just Black. Pre-orders in Europe will start on October 21.

The cost of Huawei nova 9 in Europe was € 499. Recall that in China the model was priced at €360-400. When making a pre-order the company gives headphones FreeBuds 4.
