TCL announced the world's first 75-inch 8K display at 265 Hz for TVs
Last year Chinese company TCL introduced its first generation of 8K 1G1D TV technology. Now the second generation - improved and finalized has been developed.
What is it?
TCL's new development is a display for TVs, which has a diagonal of 75 inches, 8K resolution and frame refresh rate of 265 Hz. By comparison, typical 8K TVs offer a 120 Hz sweep, so a 265 Hz refresh rate was a huge leap. In fact, it's the highest in the industry.
The report said that the new generation 8K 1G1D technology uses high-performance H-HVAtechnology, 4Mask technology and equipped with a unique HCC charge compensation technology.
Along with this, TCL announced the world's first 85-inch LCD high-end 8K display with 120Hz based on IGZO technology. It has a contrast ratio of over 5000:1, and its power consumption is 30% lower than similar products with the same characteristics.
