Apple continues to transition its devices to Apple Silicon processors, "cleaning up" product range.

Goodbye, Intel iMac

Another model has disappeared from Apple's lineup - 21.5-inch iMac with Intel processor. Publication 9to5Mac noticed that the other day it was removed from the official online store, although the company itself has not confirmed the discontinuation.

Recall, the 21.5-inch iMac was available in the only configuration with dual-core Intel Core i5 7th generation processor with a $1099 price tag. It was criticized for lagging specifications, outdated design and a relatively high price, but nevertheless the computer was very popular, especially in educational institutions.

Now only the iMac M1 with 24-inch display, announced in April, and 27-inch iMac based on Intel processor with old design remain in Apple's range.
