In late October, Samsung announced that beta testing of One UI 4.0 software on the Galaxy S21 family of flagship smartphones was completed. But a few days after that, all three models unexpectedly received another beta firmware version.

What's known

The ZUK1 software is distributed in all regions and has a very long list of changes. The fixes concern Wi-Fi hotspot performance, performance in the Galaxy S21 Ultra at Wide Quad HD+ resolution and fingerprint scanner performance after rebooting the smartphone.

The fourth beta of One UI 4.0 removes the pop-up window at the first app launch, fixes the problem of sudden reboots during calls etc. All the change log items can be seen in the screenshot.

The size of the update is a little over 800 MB. The update brings a security patch for November 2021. Stable One UI 4.0 Android 12 firmware for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected soon.
