A month ago, Microsoft released its new Windows 11 operating system, but the company continues to update its most popular desktop platform, Windows 10. Windows 10 21H2 is due out later, but in the meantime, Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 version 21H1 is available for all users.

Officially, Windows 10 21H1 update, also known as Windows 10 May 2021 Update, was released in May 2021. This release was the first major Windows 10 update of the year. But the distribution of this version has been rather slow as it is only now (it's about time, yes) that it becomes available to all Windows 10 users.

Windows 10 21H1 is a relatively minor update with improvements and bug fixes. The November update officially titled Windows 10 November 2021 Update (Windows 10 21H2) will also not hit with an abundance of new features as Microsoft has shifted its main focus to Windows 11 development.

Support for Windows 10 will not end until at least 2025. However, do not expect significant new features after Windows 10 21H2 release - only various fixes and minor improvements await users.
