Ford's stock of electric motors to turn internal combustion engines into electric cars sold out in record time
Recall that Ford caught the attention of all electric vehicle fans last week by launching the Eluminator electric motor e-crate. It produces 281 horsepower and 433 Newton-meters of torque. The price of this device is $3900.
To draw attention to this product, Ford introduced a version of the retro F-100 pickup, which was equipped with Eluminator electric motor, bringing its characteristics close to those of the new Mustang Mach-E GT. This was only a one-off sample vehicle demonstrating the new concept, with no plans to begin production.
However, motorists in the U.S. liked the idea so much that the entire batch of electric motors Eluminator e-crate was sold out in a matter of days. At the moment there is not a single unit left in stock.
Those who didn't manage to buy Eluminator electric motor shouldn't despair. Ford said it will soon be introducing a major new shipment of these electric motors to stores for easy replacement of the internal combustion engine in the company's vehicles.
