China has already faked the very same Apple wipe and is selling it 6 times cheaper
At the recent fall presentation of the MacBook Pro laptops with M1 Pro and M1 Max processors, much more hype was made by the announced wipe for branded display care. Apparently, there is demand for it too, as the wipe is now in short supply: Apple promises to start deliveries to those who have placed orders only in 10-12 weeks. China has taken advantage of this situation and offer their own counterpart.
What is it?
The Chinese have established the production of a similar cloth that looks identical in appearance. Except it lacks the Apple logo. But it can be received already now, without waiting several months, and price is much lower: if in official Apple shop the cloth costs $19, then price of the Chinese analogue is about $3.
Also a cloth "as Apple" began to sell on AliExpress. The seller assures that it is suitable for cleaning the screens of smartphones, laptops, tablets, smartwatches and other Apple gadgets. No reviews yet, though.
On AliExpress the price tag is not so low - $5.98 for a piece. But for $17.45 you can order the whole set of five rags.
Recall that iFixit specialists have carefully studied the Apple wipe and found out that it is a regular microfiber.
