BYD to launch updated electric crossover Tang with a range of up to 700 km

Chinese automaker BYD is preparing to launch its new electric crossover Tang.

What is known

The novelty has appeared on the website of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Judging by the leak, the car will get a slightly modified appearance. Mostly it will affect the front of the car. Dimensions of the car should remain the same: 4900×1950×1725 mm. The wheelbase will also remain the same - 2820 mm.

. As for "stuffing", the new Tang is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 168 kW (about 230 hp). That is less than of the current generation, but at the same time the car will have a battery increasing from 140Wh/kg to 150Wh/kg. Due to this, range of the BYD Tang EV will be about 700 km.

The electric car will be announced at the motor show Guangzhou Auto Show on November 19. The new car will be on sale in China, as well as some European countries.
