Seven older Samsung smartphones received One UI 3.1 update
Samsung continues to update the One UI 3.1 software in older smartphones to a more current version. The company recently released an update for seven 2019 flagships.
Who updated
For Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10 5G firmware numbered G973NKSS7FUJ2, G975NKSS7FUJ2, G970NKSS7FUJ2 and G977NKSS7FUJ2 have been released respectively. To recap, the 5G version differs from the ordinary one by the presence of a 0.3MP ToF camera and increased from 3400 mA*h to 4500 mA*h battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 got the firmware N970FXXS7FUJ1, and for the Plus version the firmware N975FXXS7FUJ1 was released. The original Galaxy Fold (still no Z), the company's first bendable smartphone, also got the update.
The update size is around 150-160MB, depending on the model. The new One UI 3.1 firmware brings an operating system security patch for November 2021. And yes, all seven smartphones are running Android 11.
Given that the 2018 models were left without Android 11, we can assume that the 2019 flagships won't get Android 12. But One UI 4.0 will come to them for sure.
