Samsung Galaxy S22+ powered by Snapdragon 898 tested in Geekbench

Following Samsung Galaxy S21 FE performance test in Geekbench has passed another smartphone of the company, which will be presented next year. This time the benchmark tested what the Samsung Galaxy S22+ is capable of.

What's known

The performance test involved a version with a 4nm Snapdragon 898 mobile processor. The chip has a Prime Cortex-X2 core clocked at 3GHz. In Single-Core mode, the score was 1,163 and in Multi-Core mode, the score was 2,728. Interestingly, the Galaxy Tab S8+ tablet powered by the same chipset scored slightly higher with 1,211 and 3,193 points respectively.

Geekbench also states that the flagship is powered by Android 12 operating system and comes with 8GB of RAM. Back in September, the performance test passed version powered by Exynos 2200. It scored 1,073 points in Single-Core and 3,389 points in Multi-Core.

Recall, Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are expected to premiere in February 2021. The smartphones will not rise in price compared to their predecessors, but will offer 256GB of internal memory instead of 128GB in the base model.
