Xiaomi has started testing the Android 12 operating system on one of the brand's best-selling Redmi 2021 smartphones.

Who updated

A test build of MIUI 12.5 software has been released for the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G with a Dimensity 1100 processor. The smartphone was announced in late spring 2021 in China and launched globally as POCO X3 GT.

So far, the smartphone has only received a closed Chinese version of MIUI 12.5 on Android 12. As such, it's too early to tell when the global firmware for the POCO X3 GT will be released. We have to wait for the public beta release in China first.

Recall, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G went on sale earlier this summer along with the Redmi Note 10 5G. The combined sales of the two new products reached 500,000 units in 60 minutes. The smartphone features a 120Hz IPS screen, a 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP primary camera, stereo speakers and a 5000 mAh battery. It has hit the market with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS.
