Late last month, the experts at DxOMark tested the camera of the Xiaomi 11T Pro smartphone. Almost three weeks later, they reported on the tests of the regular Xiaomi 11T.

What's known

Both models feature a 108 MP (1/1.52", f/1.75) + 8 MP + 5 MP primary camera without optical image stabilization or telephoto lens. The Xiaomi 11T supports shooting videos in maximum 4K UHD resolution at 30 FPS. The Pro version boasts support for 4K at 60 FPS and 8K at 30 FPS. But both smartphones have been tested in 4K at 30 FPS.

The Xiaomi 11T's photo capabilities were rated at 111 points, while it got 105 points for capturing video footage. The zoom capabilities were rated at 42 points and the ultra-wide-angle camera (8 MP) was rated at 32 points. The hero of this article is placed far away in the overall rating, to put it mildly.

With a total score of 108 points it settled on the 87th position. The same score was achieved by OnePlus Nord, OPPO A94 5G, OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G and Redmi K40 Pro+. But managed to bypass the iPhone Xs Max, announced more than three years ago. Xiaomi 11T Pro with 117 points is located in the fifth dozen.

As we can see, the image processor has done its job. Despite the fact that the smartphones have identical modules and software, the Pro version performed much better in the tests. Recall, it has a Snapdragon 888 chip versus the Dimensity 1200 of the Xiaomi 11T.
