Balmuda Phone - a compact smartphone from the Japanese manufacturer of premium home appliances for the price of iPhone 13

Japanese premium home appliance manufacturer Balmuda has unveiled its first smartphone. The new product is called Balmuda Phone. It has a compact size, good specifications and costs as much as an iPhone 13.

What the beast

The smartphone is equipped with a 4.9" Full HD panel with an aspect ratio of 16 to 9, which everyone has already got used to in three years. The size of the body was 123 x 69.13 x 13.7 mm, with a weight of 138 g. Despite the wide frames on all sides of the screen, the camera for selfies was placed in a large hole. It has a resolution of 8 MP (f/2).

The Balmuda Phone's hardware platform is based on a Snapdragon 765 (not Snapdragon 765G) chip with up to 2.3GHz. The single-chip processor is based on 8nm technology. There will be 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard memory.

A 2500 mAh battery is responsible for the autonomy of new items. To the wired charging standard USB Power Delivery 3.0 added support for charging wirelessly. On board smartphone has USB-C, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC and a 48-megapixel main camera with aperture f/1.8.

There is a fingerprint scanner on the rear, decorated with plastic. Among other things, note the water protection IPX4 and the Android 11 operating system with custom shell Balmuda.

Price

On November 17, the company will open a pre-order procedure for the new product in Japan. Sales will start on November 26. The recommended price for the Balmuda Phone without carrier restrictions is $920.
