IOS 15.2 Released Apple Music Subscribers to Search Within Playlists
Recently Apple released the third beta of iOS 15.2 for developers and a public beta. Among other innovations, the update also includes a notable improvement to the Music app. For the first time, it is possible to search for a specific song in playlists (aka "playlists").
This feature has been asking for a while on Apple Music, and it's a little weird that it took so long to add. Of course, in typical Apple fashion, the search bar is hidden in the user interface by default. To use this feature, you open a playlist in the Music app on your iPhone and then swipe down from the top to make the new Search box pop out from below the top edge of the screen.
Apple Music playlists are still far from the competition, with users noting that they still lack many modern features like collaborative playlists, sorting, sorting options, and more. However, adding Search is a step in the right direction, albeit late.
