Sony patented replacement panels for its PS 5 console

Not so long ago, Sony battled manufacturers of replacement panels for its next-generation Play Station 5 console. It turns out that this is how it lost the competition. She received a patent for the manufacture of panels - and now she can do it herself. 

Sony filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office shortly before the PS5 went on sale on November 5, 2020. Registration data appeared on the organization's website on November 16. V document there is an image of panels from different sides, but the paper does not contain any details about the color or design features.

It is not clear yet, or Sony will trade in replacement panels or a license to manufacture them. But now the company has another official document that can be referred to in the fight against illegal manufacturers of accessories.
