Pixel 6a layout has been leaked: Pixel 6-style design, sub-screen fingerprint scanner and no 3.5 mm jack
Traditionally, after the flagships Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google should release a more affordable model - Pixel 6a... Several leaks have already appeared on the network, and now Fathom Bracelets and @ xleaks7 have shown mock-ups of the smartphone. In fact, this is the shape that is used to make cases and other accessories and which reveals some of the design details of the future device.
What to expect?
Judging by the layout, the Pixel 6a will inherit from its older brothers the design of the main camera in the form of a rectangular strip running through the entire rear panel. True, according to rumors, the camera will be a little simpler: the main Sony IMX363 sensor with 12.2 MP, like the Pixel 5, Pixel 4a and Pixel 4, Sony IMX355 wide 12 MP and another module.
On the front, you can see a round hole for the front camera and a recessed circle on the screen - it looks like a sub-screen fingerprint scanner. By the way, all Pixel A phones have regular fingerprint readers on the back, so the Pixel 6a could be the first in the series to feature an in-display sensor.
In addition, the authors of the leak warn that the Pixel 6a may have "rather thick bezels." But the 3.5 mm audio jack seems to have been abandoned.
Recall that the smartphone also credited proprietary Tensor processor, like the older brothers Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, 6.2 inch OLED display, dimensions 152.2 × 71.8 × 8.7 mm, 6/8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of ROM and a price tag of less than $ 599. The device is planned to be shown in the first half of 2022.
