Snapdragon 888 chip and 12 GB RAM: OPPO's first foldable smartphone appears on Geekbench
We have already written more than once that OPPO is planning to launch its first foldable smartphone on the market. It looks like the release of new items is not far off.
What is known
The device was spotted in the meringue of Geekbench benchmark data. The novelty comes with a model number OPPO PEUM00 and Lahaina processor. For those not in the know, this is the code name for the Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 888 Plus chips. In addition, the test version of the smartphone has 12 GB of RAM and a pre-installed Android 11 operating system.
Recall the first folding OPPO smartphone is codenamed Peacock. The novelty is credited with the form factor of the book. That is, the device will compete Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Huawei Mate X2 and Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold. The smartphone will receive a main OLED panel with a diagonal of 8 inches, a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The device should also be equipped with a side fingerprint scanner, a main camera with a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor, a 32 MP front camera and a 4500 mAh battery with support for 65 W fast charging.
If you believe rumors, the novelty will be presented this month. Perhaps the release will take place at the OPPO INNO DAY 2021 event, which will take place on December 14-15.
