Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 have serious problems due to Android 12: Samsung withdraws update
Recently Samsung has begun to distribute an update with a proprietary One UI 4.0 shell based on Android 12 for folding smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3... However, the firmware seems to be unstable and may only give you headaches.
What's wrong?
On the official Samsung forums, there have been numerous complaints from owners of foldable smartphones about the update. The most serious problem is that the device may lock up or enter recovery mode after installing the firmware.
Also, some users have faced issues with screen flickering, dark mode, poor performance, camera and video streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube. Others complain about Dual Messenger not working with some apps, inability to take a screenshot, automatic deletion of gallery images, poor audio quality, and screen stuck at 60Hz.
Most of the problems are limited to South Korea, but other countries are also affected.
It is reported that due to a large number of bugs Samsung has decided to temporarily stop the release of Android 12 for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. After fixing the bugs, the distribution of the update should resume.
