What is known
The day before we wrote on the release of the global version of the MIUI 12.5 software for Redmi Note 8. At that time, it was known about its temporary limitation of the Mi Pilot software and the firmware number - v12.5.1.0 RCOMIXM. Now there is information about the innovations.
One of them is support for Memory Fusion technology. The smartphone is sold in versions with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of internal memory. Basic version does not support Memory Fusion. Owners of the advanced variant can add 1 GB of virtual RAM, and in the top configuration, 2 additional GB of RAM are available.
Redmi Note 8 is the second Xiaomi smartphone with MIUI 12.5 Global Edition to receive Memory Fusion support. The first such model was the recent novelty Redmi 10. In total, the function of expanding the RAM got more than two dozen models, but the vast majority are available in China with MIUI 12.5 beta.
