OPPO showed Air Glass: auxiliary reality mono glasses with Spark microprojector and Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip

OPPO presented at event INNO DAY 2021 Air Glass smart mono glasses for Aassisted Reality.

What is known

The device has received a futuristic appearance that resembles a monocle. The gadget weighs 30 grams. It has a curved body with a touchscreen control panel as well as a lens. The novelty is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor. 

OPPO Air Glass boasts a Spark micro projector that features LEDs Micro LED with up to 3 million nits of brightness and five glass lenses. According to the manufacturer, such a bundle provides a bright and clear picture in any conditions. The projector is equipped with a metal CNC housing with a glass lens module for better heat dissipation. Operated by OPPO Air Glass using the Smart Glass app. It can be installed on OPPO Watch 2 or on the company's smartphones with ColorOS version 11 and higher. The gadget supports four methods of interaction: touch, voice, hand and head movements.

Especially under Air Glass OPPO has developed applications "Weather, Calendar, Health, Teleprompter, Translation and Navigation. For example, with the help of an interpreter, you can communicate with foreigners. After pairing with a device, one user's conversation is automatically translated into the other user's language and then displayed on the other user's Air Glass. The glasses now support two-way Sino-English translation. Sino-Japanese and Sino-Korean will appear a little later.

Price and when to wait

OPPO Air Glass will hit the market in the first quarter of 2022. Unfortunately, there are no new prices yet, it is only known that the gadget is planned to be sold only in China. The device will be available in two colors: black and white.
