After several months of rumors and leaks, Samsung has announced a new budget tablet Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 (2021).

What is known

As the name suggests, the device is equipped with a 10.5-inch display. The panel received an LCD-matrix, resolution 1920 ×1200p, 16:10 aspect ratio and standard refresh rate (60Hz). In terms of performance, the new product runs on a chip that has 10% more CPU core performance and 10% more GPU core performance than the Snapdragon 662 in the Galaxy Tab A7. What kind of SoC the company does not say, but judging by the leaks, we are talking about a 12-nanometer Unisoc Tiger T618 processor.

The novelty will be delivered in two versions (Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE) and in three memory modifications: 3/32 GB, 4/64 GB and 4/128 GB. For the autonomy of the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 (2021), a 7040 mAh battery is responsible. It charges via the USB-C port using the included 7.5W PSU. If necessary, you can purchase a 15W charger. The device also has stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and two cameras: the main one at 8 MP and the front one at 5 MP. The tablet comes with Android 11 out of the box.

Price and when to wait

The Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 (2021) will go on sale in Europe at the end of December. The novelty will cost from 230 euros.
