Developer S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, GSC Game World has taken the initiative to add support for non-fungible tokens to the new part of the cult game. However, users did not like it.

What is known

The project was named S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Metaverse. Its partner was DMarket, which has its own NFT marketplace. In 2022, in-game items for tokens will become available to gamers. According to the developers, they will not give a gameplay advantage.

In addition, they will be able to become one of the characters in the metaverse. In January 2022, an auction will sell the opportunity to create an NPC with your own appearance using photogrammetry. Release S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is slated for April 28, 2022.

Gamers began to massively criticize GSC Game World for wanting to add non-fungible tokens to the game. Some are urging Valve to remove S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl from Steam. If we remove the obscene vocabulary from the comments, the majority boils down to the thesis "I lost interest, I cancel the pre-order."
