Xiaomi canceled the Redmi K50 smartphone on the Snapdragon 870+ processor

For several weeks, there have been rumors that the Redmi K50 family will include four models. As it turns out, one smartphone has already been canceled.

What is known

Initially it was reported that the new generation series will include four smartphones powered by Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 8 Gen1, Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000 processors. Xiaomi and MediaTek already officially confirmed the presence of a 4nm Dimensity 9000 chip in the Redmi K50 Gaming gaming model.

But the modification on the Snapdragon 870+ will not enter the market. The smartphone was codenamed poussin with model number 21121210AC. The company has even launched internal MIUI 12.5 testing. The first firmware was released in mid-August. Three months later, the company stopped developing MIUI 12.5 for the smartphone. Moreover, the tests of the Android 12 operating system did not even begin.

But at the same time, a munch device was found in the software code, which carries a Snapdragon 870+ on board. Probably under this codename is the POCO F4 for the global market.
