We recently wrote that cybercriminals began to use AirTags to steal expensive cars... Today's story is more positive, with trackers helping a Texas woman find stolen Christmas decorations.

How it was

The American decided to buy AirTag after unknown persons stole the decorations for Christmas and New Year from the yard of the neighbors' house. And this idea turned out to be successful, since after a while the woman suffered the same fate.

CCTV cameras filmed how unidentified persons at night kidnapped large inflatable figures that were standing in the courtyard of the house. What they didn’t know was that the owner had attached AirTags to the jewelry.

According to the woman, the tags led her to the apartment complex, where she found her own among the many Christmas decorations. Unfortunately, the police were unable to help her, as the thieves were not at home.

Fortunately, this story has a happy ending: the kidnappers voluntarily returned her inflatable decorations to the American woman. And that's all due to the hype that has risen on social media. The fact is that the woman spoke about the incident on TikTok, and her video received millions of views. Apparently, the attackers were afraid of such "glory" and returned everything.
