Apple hasn't added support for fifth-generation networks to its devices for a long time. Its competitors had dozens of such gadgets in their assortment, and the "apple" company only in 2020 presented its first 5G smartphones - the iPhone 12 line. Nevertheless, this did not prevent her from very quickly becoming the king.

No. 1

Apple took the lead in 5G smartphones in the third quarter of 2021, according to a report from Strategy Analytics. It accounts for about a quarter of the global 5G smartphone industry. And such popularity is not surprising - in September the company released the iPhone 13 family, and also reduced prices for last year's generation.

The second place is taken by Xiaomi. But compared to the same period last year, the results for the third quarter of 2021 have stalled. due to more intense competition.

Samsung is stepping on Xiaomi's heels, with the South Korean giant steadily closing the gap. If it moves at such a pace, according to the results of the fourth quarter, Xiaomi may give up its place to a competitor.

The fastest growing brand on the market 5G smartphones, is Honor. For the quarter, sales of the company increased by 194%, with the most popular models being the Honor 50 5G, Honor 50 50 SE 5G and Honor 50 50 Pro 5G.
