No hassle-free update: Google disabled unique Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro features due to Android 12 bugs
Released last week december update the Android 12 operating system for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro also proved to be problematic. Due to mistakes, Google had to disable two unique features of the new smartphones.
What is known
Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners are not yet able to take advantage of the Call Screen and Hold For Me features. The first makes it possible to give control to a virtual assistant when making a call from an unknown number. Google Assistant will ask the caller for the name and purpose of the call. At the same time, the user will see the progress of the conversation as text.
The second function also allows you to use the voice assistant. But this time with an outgoing call. If a call is put on hold, Google Assistant can stay on the line and wait.
New issues have affected Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones with firmware numbers starting with SQ1D. You can check the software in the settings by going to the "About phone" section. Google does not give the timeframe for the release of fixes yet.
