On December 21, 2021, scammers managed to hack the Discord of the administrator of the Monkey Kingdom site. As a result, they stole over $ 1,000,000 in Solana digital currency.

After the Discord account was hacked, the cybercriminals published a phishing link in the group chat just before the start of sales. Making transactions after clicking on the link, users gave a total of over 7,000 Solana tokens to the scammers. The total damage at the exchange rate at the time of the break-in was approximately $ 1,300,000.

Representatives of the Monkey Kingdom marketplace announced that users will be fully reimbursed for losses. For this, the project developers are planning to launch a special fund.

Note that on the same day, a group of cybercriminals hacked a Discord bot and gained access to the assets of the Fractal NFT platform, which belongs to the co-founder of the Twitch service, Justin Kahn. Scammers used a phishing site to steal 800 Solana tokens worth about $ 150,000.
