Snapdragon 888 / Snapdragon 8 Gen1, 50 MP cameras, 5000 mAh and 65 W charging - characteristics of Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro a few hours before the announcement

Realme today, January 4, announces the next generation of flagship smartphones. A few hours before the announcement, all the main characteristics of the Realme GT 2 and the Pro version appeared on the Web.

What is known

Both smartphones will receive an AMOLED display from Samsung. The Realme GT 2 will have a 6.62 "FHD + panel. The older model received a more interesting solution - 6.7 ”, WQHD +, LTPO 2.0.

The Pro version will get the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, while the standard edition will be equipped with last year's Snapdragon 888 single-chip system. The battery capacity will be 5000 mAh, and the fast charging power will be 65 W.

Realme GT 2 Pro will receive two 50 MP sensors - Sony IMX 766 for the main module and Samsung JN1 for ultra-wide angle. The regular Realme GT 2 will only have a Sony sensor with OIS, while the ultra-wide-angle camera will have an 8MP resolution. A 2MP macro sensor will be used in every smartphone.

Both models will appear on the market with the pre-installed Android 12 operating system, supplemented by the Realme UI 3.0 software shell. Of the differences, it is also worth noting the 16MP front camera on the Realme GT 2 versus the 32MP on the Pro version.

The cost of Realme GT 2 Pro in one of the modifications will be $ 785. The smartphone will be available in white, green and black body colors. Realme GT 2 will appear in blue, black and green. The price has not yet been announced.
