Google released smartphones a few months ago Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro... The German company Nitrokey has presented their special versions aimed at users who are worried about privacy. New items are called NitroPhone 2 and NitroPhone 2 Pro.

What is it

Smartphones now have hardware and software to improve privacy. They run on the GraphneOS operating system with the Google Titan M2 security key. He is responsible for authenticating in case of changes to the privacy settings.

The software adds the ability to automatically turn off the smartphone, encryption of the PIN-code layout, and for an additional € 300, you can even purchase NitroPhone 2 and NitroPhone 2 Pro without cameras, microphones and various sensors, which in theory can be used for surveillance.

New items did not receive Google services, but they can be installed manually. We also note additional software that prohibits applications from accessing IMEI, SIM card numbers, MAC address and other confidential data.

Prices

In Europe, the Pixel 6 is priced at € 649 and the Pro version is € 899. The NitroPhone 2 costs € 899, while the NitroPhone 2 Pro costs € 1,255.
