Estonian company Bolt will start delivering orders to customers using self-propelled robots developed by US firm Starship Technologies.

Here's What We Know

Users will be able to order food online from apps in the usual way. Once the robot arrives at the dispensing point, the customer needs to press a button that will open the container with the order.

Bolt plans to begin deliveries in Tallinn in the coming months. The service will then appear in other markets.

Starship already operates a fleet of autonomous delivery robots in the US. The devices are mainly used by college students in partnership with food delivery firm Grubhub.
