Here's What We Know
Valor Equity Partners, T-Mobile Ventures, and Salesforce are among the investors. The startup plans to use the funding to develop the product and expand its international footprint.
Pano AI helps fight forest fires using cameras and artificial intelligence. The company installs high-quality camera remotes that are controlled in manual or automatic scanning mode. The AI analyses the video stream looking for smoke or fire. If an anomaly is detected, the system raises an alarm.
For example, the company once prevented a fire from spreading near Kutch Mountain in Oregon. The AI detected the fire and issued an alert 14 minutes before the first 911 call. The system was also able to pinpoint the exact coordinates of the fire.
