Microsoft Teams users will be able to access the new Microsoft 365 Copilot feature, powered by artificial intelligence, during calls and in chat messages.

Here's What We Know

Copilot for Teams calls will add generative AI for real-time summarisation. The feature can also summarise dates, names and key points during a call.

In chats, the tool will be able to extract key points from chat streams. This can be particularly useful for teams working across time zones: the user can get a quick summary of correspondence they missed overnight. This will make it easy to catch up on missed conversations without having to scroll through the chat history. Copilot can also extract key information from correspondence to create lists or tables.

Both features are available to members of the Microsoft 365 Copilot early access programme. There is no exact launch date for the general public yet, but the corporation has already announced that Microsoft 365 Copilot will be priced at $30 per month per user.
