Beijing-based robotics company ForwardX has raised $30m in funding

ForwardX announced an additional $30 million in funding, bringing the Series C to $61 million.

Here's What We Know

ForwardX is engaged in the development of autonomous mobile robotics (AMR). The company lists L'Oréal, IKEA, DHL, Walmart and Mitsubishi among its customers. In total, according to the developers, about 3,000 robots are used at 150 sites on four continents.

The company's main AMR applications are warehouses, logistics and manufacturing. ForwardX creates systems for transport, storage, picking and docking that are able to work in concert with each other.

The new funding follows the first tranche announced in December 2021. In total, ForwardX has raised $140 million since 2016.
