Spotify DJ with artificial intelligence available in 50 countries

Streaming service Spotify is launching a beta version of its artificial intelligence DJ feature in 50 new countries.

The feature offers algorithmic music recommendations with AI-generated comments. It is only available to users with a premium subscription.

DJ uses big language model technology from OpenAI and a voice generation platform from Sonantic, which Spotify bought in 2022.

In addition to AI comments, the platform also provides written information about why a particular song was chosen.

The tool is already available in new regions, but only works in English.
