Here's What We Know
The companies are considering developing an AI tool that people can use to create music with the voices of popular artists.
Under the terms of the licence agreement, copyright holders will be remunerated for the use of their image. They will also be able to give separate permission for the use of their music.
Google and UMG are in the early stages of negotiations. There are currently no immediate plans to release the tool.
