Opera has announced the release of the Aria AI assistant in its iOS browser. At the moment, the tool is available on all current platforms.

Here's What We Know

Aria launched on desktops in June 2023. The tool was developed in collaboration with OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT.

Similar to Microsoft's Bing Copilot and Google's Search Generative Experience, Aria can answer questions and respond to the context of active web pages. The assistant uses OpenAI's GPT technology and Opera Composer architecture for real-time results.

According to the developers, Aria helps search the web for information, generate text and code, and handle product queries. An Opera account will be required to use the AI, but the feature is disabled by default.

In addition to the chatbot, Opera for iOS includes an inbuilt ad blocker, supports Apple Intelligent Tracking Prevention and has a free VPN service built in.

The updated app with Aria is available in 180 countries, including the US and EU.
