Website traffic to OpenAI's popular chatbot ChatGPT has declined for the third month in a row, but there are signs that traffic is stabilising.
Here's What We Know
According to SimilarWeb, in August, the number of visits to OpenAI's ChatGPT site dropped 3.2% from the previous month to 1.43 billion. The two previous months saw a 10% drop each.
The average time a visitor spent on the site also fell from 8.7 minutes in March to 7 minutes in August.
However, the number of unique visitors rose marginally in August, from 180 million to 180.5 million worldwide. Experts note that the start of the school year may help boost interest in ChatGPT.
