Amazon has limited the number of books that authors can self-publish on the site - no more than three per day. This is due to the emergence of content, presumably generated by artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
According to Amazon, the limit is three titles per day, but can be adjusted as needed. The company has confirmed that there were no such limits previously.
Amazon is closely monitoring the impact of generative AI on publishing. The company assures that very few authors and publishers will be affected by the changes.
Previously, Amazon made it mandatory for authors to report if artificial intelligence was used in the creation of books. The company also added to the rules to define content generated or created with AI.
