Video service YouTube is preparing to launch several artificial intelligence-enabled features for content creators. Among them - generative green screen, music search and automatic dubbing.

Here's What We Know

The AI-powered Dream Screen feature removes backgrounds from Shorts videos and replaces them with generated images or clips. YouTube suggests a journey through an enchanted forest or a ride on a tame pug to school as two strange scenes that Dream Screen can create.

Testing of the tool will begin later this year, with a wide launch planned for 2024.

YouTube Studio will include a feature for idea generation, sketching and concepting. Users will also have access to AI music search based on a video's description.

Both features will be available next year.

YouTube has also demonstrated an AI-powered dubbing feature with the ability to select the narrator's voice. So far, the feature is being tested for English, Spanish and Portuguese.

In addition, the company introduced YouTube Create, an application for mobile devices. It includes such standard functions as editing, trimming, automatic subtitle creation, filters, effects and so on.

A free beta version of the app is available for Android in some markets.
