Meta has announced new artificial intelligence chatbots for Messenger, each of which will have its own "personality" and specialisation.

Here's What We Know

The main Meta AI chatbot will answer users' questions. It is based on the Llama 2 model.

There will also be themed bots, for example, about travelling or cooking. Celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Kendall Jenner have participated in their creation.

Meta revealed that NFL legend Tom Brady will play an AI character named Bru "a wisecracking sports debater" and YouTube star MrBeast will appear as a "big brother" named Zach "who will roast you".

According to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the assistants are in development and have limitations for now.

The new chatbots will appear in Messenger in the coming days. At first, they will only be available in the US.
