Zoom unveiled its own Zoom Docs suite of office applications with artificial intelligence

Zoom has announced the release of Zoom Docs, an office suite with artificial intelligence tools.

The novelty is designed to compete with Google Docs and other services for collaboration. Among the features of the package:

• integration with Zoom's meeting feature;
• AI capabilities for creating, editing documents and summarising discussions during video conferences;
• tools for collaboration, project management and team organisation;
• support for tables, charts, and images.

According to Zoom founder Eric Yuan, Zoom Docs will not be a complete replacement for other tools, but will make it easier to switch between applications during meetings.

Zoom Docs is scheduled to be released in the spring of 2024. The exact date and cost are not yet known.

Zoom Docs will be an extension of the recently announced Zoom AI Companion service, which generates content for documents based on other sources.
