Google has unveiled Google Search Generative Experience (SGE), a new search feature that creates images based on text queries using artificial intelligence capabilities.

Here's What We Know

Participants testing SGE can enter a query into Google's search bar, after which the system will generate several images based on that query.

According to the company, the feature is based on Imagen's family of AI models. The demonstration shows how images can be generated based on a query about a caped capybara making breakfast.

It will also be possible to generate AI-based images in Google Images. A special box will appear in the search results for this purpose.

Google assures that SGE will not create banned or malicious content. Each image will be provided with metadata and watermarks indicating its artificial origin.

Initially, the service will not generate photorealistic faces or celebrity images. Also, access to the tool is restricted to users over the age of 18.
