Video service YouTube has announced two new experimental features based on generative AI. YouTube Premium subscribers will be able to try AI-generated comment summaries and a chatbot that answers questions about videos.

Here's What We Know

The first feature will categorise comments into specific categories. Users will be able to click on a topic and see all the posts within it.

Content creators can use this tool to remove individual comments if they see problematic or unwanted discussions about their videos.

The second feature is a dialogue chatbot. It is able to answer questions about a particular video and recommend similar content right as you watch it.

Sorting comments by topic is already available to Premium subscribers. However, the feature works on some English-language videos.

The chatbot is also available for testing, but only in the US. They plan to gradually expand the feature to other regions in the coming weeks.
