Magic Editor in Google Photos won't edit faces, documents, or large objects

The Magic Editor feature in the Google Photos app, powered by generative AI, introduces restrictions on editing certain categories of images.
Here's What We Know
As it turns out, there are defence mechanisms in the service that prevent certain edits from being made. The latest version of the app adds a code to block:
photos of ID cards, receipts and other documents that violate Google GenAI rules;
images with personal data;
human faces and body parts;
large data-intensive objects.
The app also refuses to generate images based on some verbal prompts.
Previously, some such edits could still be applied in Magic Editor. Google is gradually expanding the limitations as it develops an AI-based generative service.
