Cruise chief resigns after licence revocation in California and robotaxi shutdown in US

Cruise CEO Kyle Vogt has announced his resignation amid a crisis over incidents and the suspension of robot taxis in the US.

In his statement, Vogt thanked everyone who has helped Cruise over the past 10 years. He recalled that the startup, which was created in a garage, has made more than 250,000 trips with drones in different cities.

According to the businessman, autonomous transport has a great future, given the current unideal situation on the roads. In the near future, Vogt plans to pursue new ideas and spend time with his family.

General Motors, which owns Cruise, has not yet appointed a new CEO.
