AWS, Amazon's cloud services division, has launched Amazon Q, a chat tool that allows employees to ask questions about their business and get answers based on corporate data.

Here's What We Know

Amazon Q works as an AI-powered assistant. For example, employees can clarify logo rules, understand application code, or find relevant information in documents.

Amazon Q is accessed through AWS interfaces, corporate websites, Slack, and other business applications. User questions are not used to improve AI models.

Amazon Q is based on algorithms from Amazon's Bedrock repository, including Llama 2 from Meta and Claude 2 from Anthropic. Customers can choose the most appropriate AI model and integrate it with their corporate data.

In the first phase, Amazon Q is available for the Amazon Connect contact centre service. Subsequently, it will be integrated into other AWS solutions as well. The system takes into account security parameters and does not allow sensitive data.

Amazon Q in Connect starts at $40 per agent per month, but users can use the tool for free until 1 March 2024.
