Microsoft has joined the new OpenAI board of directors as a non-voting observer, and Sam Altman has officially been reinstated as CEO.
Here's What We Know
Altman was joined by OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman, who returned as president. Interim CEO Mira Murati has taken up her former position as CTO.
A new board of directors headed by ex-CEO of Salesforce Bret Taylor has also been confirmed. It also includes economist Larry Summers and Quora co-founder Adam D'Angelo.
Earlier, there were reported concerns about D'Angelo's conflict of interest as Quora uses OpenAI models. However, Altman assured that the interaction was transparent.
Chairman Taylor promised to optimise OpenAI's governance structure and review recent developments in the company.
