Intel, backed by investment firm DigitalBridge, is setting up a new firm, Articul8 AI, to develop generative AI for business.

Here's What We Know

Articul8 is based on a concept that Intel has been developing with Boston Consulting Group. Last year, they created an AI system optimised for Intel hardware that analyses text and images on BCG's servers.

Initially, BCG was the system's only client. But in recent months, Intel has scaled the platform to companies in finance, aerospace, telecom and other industries that require high levels of cybersecurity.

Articul8's CEO will be former top Intel executive Arun Subramaniyan. The investors also include venture funds Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures and others. Intel itself will retain a stake in the new company.

According to experts, the launch of Articul8 is Intel's attempt to attract external investments in the development of new business areas against the background of large-scale investments in chip production.
